Reharmonized Reread 6

Greetings all, today we’ll cover Twilight’s visit to Hoofington and resulting events. Like Twilight I have had a doozy of the last few weeks, hence the gap, but I know I need to write this and push myself a little. You come for the recap or fluff around it though, so on with the show. Twilight brings the interviewers up to speed on what she’s been doing and her contributions to the state of the town. Leaving a concerned Rarity to cover for her, she takes an express chariot to Hoofington to locate Trixie and hopefully help her like she did for her friends. The town soon brings memories of her arrival in Ponyville leading her to speculate on the level of Celestia’s plotting out Nightmare Moon’s return. Upon finding and approaching the target address, a mare visually nigh identical ushers her in and we find Trixie’s family contains three more similar sisters. Twilight quickly succumbs to her overextension in the welcoming atmosphere and sees a glimpse of her and Trixie as young students under Celestia. The next morning Trixie is finally revealed and Twilight wastes little time in attempting the memory spell so that Trixie can be restored. An unknown force violently rejects Twilight upon the initiation of contact. Shaken, Twilight regroups and makes the ‘gut’ decision to return to Ponyville with Trixie to work out another avenue. The rest of the day is spent learning what she could think to ask about Trixie and briefly meeting her parents. Spike’s initial reaction to their new guest is less than welcoming, but Twilight shines, staying adamant that she rightly chose this fight. Rarity and Applejack wait two days after Twi’s return to check in and, showing their maturity, gently try to engage Trixie. Trixie’s response to Applejack’s eye-to eye stare is hardly noted before Spike bursts in relaying that Pinkie is finally awake. I have to admit, this chapter is harder than those that came before for me to cover. Almost this entire chapter is foundation and prep work for a later chapter. I was having such trouble, I tried Livestreaming the process. Yes, that is crazy; no it didn’t work. Once reaching Trixie’s reclamation (was there any doubt?), the import of nigh everything in here is made crystal. Trixie needs this grounding to grow; where she came from and Twilight knowing will later put Trixie in a needed position. I’d ramble on if I hadn’t already.
